FROM CHELSEA HANDLER TO A FILM SCORE CAREER
When Netflix knew they were breaking into uncharted territory with the first ever streaming nightly talk show, Chelsea Handler’s “CHELSEA” in 2016, the search was on for the perfect theme song. A-listers & Grammy winners alike competed, but in the end the winning track came surprisingly from the relatively unknown electro-pop artist MEMORYY (Shaun Hettinger).
Exploding into the Film & TV Music scene with that banner placement, Hettinger launched Neon Moon Studios & quickly started working with a roster of clients like Amazon, Youtube, Revlon, MTV, Pfizer, Gatorade, and The Hallmark Channel. Scoring a short documentary for Amazon unraveled his love of Film Score - the hunt of unlocking the perfect combination of innovative sounds to a film is what he excels at.
Hettinger just scored 4 feature films & 1-award winning TV Pilot in 1.5 years, all while producing & scoring podcasts for Audivita Studios. The addiction-themed DIE PRETTY has racked up 3 “Best TV Pilot” awards; the popcorn action flick COP VS KILLER premiered & won at the 2023 Santa Fe Film Festival; the witchy-horror film SUMMONERS premiered at the 2022 Brooklyn Horror Festival; the survivalist feature DISTRESS SIGNALS landed distribution & is now out to rent on-demand; and Shaun has just wrapped on the social media thriller THE POST.
